According to Promotional Products Association International, people keep promotional items when they are functional. So, tote bags. Eighty-one percent of people keep a well-made tote bag for more than a year, and 18% of them keep them for more than 10 years (sheesh!).
Tote bags are an easy way to get brand exposure; users are essentially walking advertisements. Don't scrimp on quality or size—bigger is better, and one that looks "cool" and wears well will pay off in the long run.
