Sometime around 2005...
I hatched a plan to gradually stop working for "the man" and work for myself. So I started a side hustle, and called it Narberth Marketing—Narberth being the name of my town. But before long, I realized I just didn't have the time to do my "real" job and give my new biz the attention it deserved, so I shut it down (though the dream lived on). What was Narberth Marketing like? Well, it was a lot like yep. Okay, it was exactly like yep., but with a decade less experience.
So fast forward to 2018 when I realized it was time. While I pulled the plan together, I said to anyone who'd listen, "Yep, I'm doing this." And the name? Well, I'd loved Narberth Marketing, but this time I wanted something that reflected my determination to make this work, and my dedication to my (eventual) clients. So in the course of my research I googled "yep," and among the top results was this great definition from Urban Dictionary. And I thought (of course), "Yep, that's it."
And so here we are. :)
